Time blocks are used at the point when your clients order services online. Their primary function is to help set your clients expectations about the time that their service will be delivered.

The concept is to provide the client with a choice of service delivery windows such as:

1:00pm – 3:00pm

3:00pm – 5:00pm

As opposed to specific times such a 2:00pm, 3:00pm or 4:00pm.

Each service item has a delivery “window” for example a 2 hour window or a 3 hour window. The sitter has the flexibility to choose when to deliver that service within that window.

But what if you have a side arrangement with a few favoured clients to provide a tighter window (such as a one hour window) and you do not want this arrangement to be reflected in your standard list of options.

In release 5.8, regardless of the time block ordered by the client and regardless of any limitation to the number of standard time blocks available, you can now change a time block at the point of scheduling to any required value.

So for example say your standard list contains only

1:00pm – 3:00pm AND

3:00pm – 5:00pm

even if the time block required is not in the standard list, you now have the ability to “make one up” specifically for any client and any particular situation.

Using editable flexible time blocks, you now have the ability to schedule any time block you like, at any time for any particular reason.
